Who is Thinkwise Credit Union?
Member Eligibility
Thinkwise membership is open to all employees who work regularly in the Educational Industry in the counties of Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino, California. Persons retired, pensioners, or annuitants from this field of membership; members of their immediate families or households; volunteers; and organizations of such persons.
Mission Statement
To provide individualized financial services to the members of the Thinkwise Credit Union. To encourage thrift by providing a source of credit and a safe and convenient place to accumulate savings. The Credit Union is dedicated to servicing the membership’s best interest in a friendly and caring manner while preserving the membership’s trust.
History
In 1952, San Bernardino School Employees Federal Credit Union was born out of a shoe box by a small group of teachers here in the city of San Bernardino. Our humble roots speak to the growth and resiliency of this credit union over the years. From new buildings, changing leadership, and finally becoming ‘Thinkwise Federal Credit Union’, our incredible journey is just beginning. Today, we honor our past while looking forward to our future. Our cooperative nature, devotion to the democratic process, and desire to give back to our members and community are driving forces in all that we do. Our past, present, and future membership is what makes Thinkwise Credit Union the financial institution we are today.
